The 14 major stars are placed based on the Ziwei position and specific rules:

**主星 (Primary Stars - 12)**:
1. 紫微 (Ziwei) - Already placed in STEP 5 ✓
2. 天府 (Tianfu) - Already placed in STEP 5 ✓
3. 太陽 (Taiyang) - Sun star
4. 武曲 (Wuqu) - Mars star
5. 天同 (Tianong) - Jupiter star
6. 廉貞 (Lianzhen) - Venus star
7. 天機 (Tianjie) - Mercury star
8. 巨門 (Jumen) - Saturn/Rahu star

- Calculate which Ziwei star transforms to 祿
- Calculate which star transforms to 權, 科, 忌
- Propagate transformations through all major stars

### 4. Backend API Integration
**Timeline**: After STEP 8 complete
- Create Express.js endpoints: `/api/ziwei/calculate-chart`
- Connect Python calculator to API
- Add database layer for storing charts

### 5. Frontend Integration
**Timeline**: After API complete
- Connect GenerationPanel form to backend
- Display calculated results in NatalChartView
- Add chart history/library functionality

## 📌 Key Technical Decisions

1. **COUNTERCLOCKWISE Arrangement**: Critical fix - all 12 palaces go BACKWARD through branches, not clockwise
2. **Odd/Even Difference Method**: For Ziwei & Tianfu placement (NOT simple remainder method)
3. **Fixed Tianfu Mapping**: Uses mnemonic, NOT opposite to Ziwei
4. **Nayin System**: For bureau determination, not direct stem mapping
5. **Python Backend**: Clean, testable implementation separate from Node.js
